How to Use Voicepit
Voicepit connects people who have problems with builders who can solve them.
The Feed
Browse every problem at /feed. Sort by New, Not Claimed, or Top. Use the search bar to find something specific, or filter by tag.
- —New — reverse-chronological. The freshest problems first.
- —Not Claimed — no builder has picked these up yet. Best for finding gaps.
- —Top — sorted by upvotes. The most-wanted ideas surface here.
Tags & Search
Every problem is tagged with up to 10 categories. Click a tag on any card to filter the feed. Use the search bar to match titles and descriptions.
Posting a Problem
Hit "Post a problem." Write a sharp title (120 chars), a clear description (2,000 chars), and pick 1–10 tags. Limit: 3 posts per 24 hours.
- —Be specific — describe who has the problem, when it happens, what you've already tried.
- —Content goes through an automatic filter before it's published.
Upvoting
Upvote problems you relate to. Votes are the signal builders use to decide what's worth building — the more upvotes, the higher a problem ranks on the Top sort.
Claiming & Building
Found a problem you want to solve? Claim it from the detail page. It puts your name on it and tells the community the problem is being worked on. Max 2 builders per problem.
- —Once you've claimed, you can share a solution link (a URL to your project, repo, or landing page).
- —The problem poster gets an email when you claim.
Mark as Built
If you posted a problem and it's been solved, you can mark it as built from the problem detail page. Optionally link to the solution. This closes the loop for everyone watching.
Comments
Every problem has a comment thread. Ask questions, give feedback, or share context. Builders and posters both get email notifications on new comments.
- —Replies are threaded one level deep.
- —You can edit your comment within 5 minutes of posting.
- —Report a comment from its action menu.
Dashboard
Your Dashboard (in the nav) shows your activity at a glance — problems you've posted, their upvote counts, how many people are building each one, and comment totals.
Profile & Settings
Your public profile page shows your posted problems and what you're building. From Settings (user menu → Settings) you can update your username, bio, links, and control which profile sections are visible.
- —Username changes have a 28-day cooldown.
- —Bio updates have a 30-minute cooldown.
